This scenario took place in a very busy warehouse where workers are constantly moving around and there are people in multiple locations. This employee was unloading pallets of inventory onto shelves and was new to operating a forklift. As this employee maneuvered the forklift through the crowded warehouse, the employee noticed a stack of pallets dangerously positioned near an aisle where workers were walking. Recognizing the potential danger of a pallet tipping over and causing an injury, the employee immediately moved the pallets to a safer location. Thanks to this employee’s observation and quick action, a potential accident involving falling pallets was prevented. By diligently adhering to the principles of the safety program and promoting a culture of safety awareness among warehouse personnel, we have made significant strides towards achieving the Target Zero goal of no harm to people or the environment.
