  1. Made sure that the Jail staff purchased slip resistant shoes for incarcerated people who work in the kitchen and that we do not allow workers to come and work if they are not wearing these safety shoes. This rule has resulted in zero slip and fall accidents and demonstrates our commitment to keep our staff safe whether they are Aramark staff or incarcerated people; we are all human and we all matter.
  2. I took the initiative to translate the “Shield” trainings for my Aramark spanish speakers, as these were not available in Spanish at the time. I then sent these documents to my DM so he can share them with other locations. My DM forward the translated Shield trainings to Nicole McVaugh; Nicole made arrangements to get approval and make the Spanish Shield training available to all locations. I felt that it was very important for Spanish speakers to be able to read the trainings and be aware of the important information that is in those trainings.
