The safety practice that has contributed to our safety success in the Ripon Area School District is that if a fellow team member asks for help, you are not allowed to say no. If you are unable to help, you should then help ask or seek help in another form for the employee requesting help and ensure that they don’t try whatever task they are asking help for on their own. This is especially important when it comes to lifting things up off the floor or putting our food orders away. I’ve noticed this small safety practice has not only helped our team prevent injuries, but has also set each of our kitchens up for awesome teamwork!
