In addition to doing our weekly safe brief with the employees, we also do the safe briefs with the inmates. One problem that can occur with safe briefs, is it becomes too repetitive with seasoned employees. I’ve also learned that once you know a topic pretty well, a good way to learn more about a topic is to teach it. So I like to engage the employees (especially the seasoned ones) by having them engage the inmates with our safe briefs.
