When presenting the Q1 CBR to the client we shared our safety moment “Parking Lot Safety”. This led to conversation that they were fencing in the employee parking lot. Chief Restivo asked where our staff park and we told him that we park across the street from the facility and then brought to his attention that there is not a cross walk to safely cross four lanes of traffic. The following day the Chief shared with me that he submitted a request to the Chief of Traffic Engineering to add a cross walk in front of the jail. They have agreed to add this to their projects to complete. Sharing our safety moment will impact the safety of all the JSO staff.
