This is a unique profit center in our portfolio. While the Walmart Museum and Cafe are under renovation, we are operating a food truck on the Bentonville Town Square. This is a highly trafficked area and centerpiece of the community. The truck has to be moved at the end of each day to another building in town to empty water tanks, restock and refuel. This poses a massive safety risk in moving a large vehicle through a busy area every day.
We recognized this risk and asked our client to schedule Driver Training for our team with some of their senior transportation driver trainers. These trainers had 2 million safe miles driven and were extremely knowledgeable in safe driving. These trainers taught the team how to do pre and post trip inspections, and how to safely operate the vehicle. They set up an obstacle course in an empty parking lot for the team to practice driving in and put them through scenarios that they were likely to encounter.
This training was extremely helpful and has helped our team to safely move the Food Truck through town every day.
