We added a transition piece to the floor in one of our most highly trafficked areas in the kitchen. There was a small difference in height of the flooring in these two areas on the kitchen, which we recognized as a trip hazard and also made it difficult to push carts through. Our safety lead pointed out that employees were having to lift the cart to get through this area.
We put in a work order, and our client facilities team came out that day to install a transition piece. Since then, carts go through that area with no problem and is no longer a trip hazard.
