Our Aramark team received a call a spill on the floor as a coolant. Proper protocol was followed to clean the coolant spill. The area being cleaned got slicker and slicker. We found out that the area had Igepal CA-630 which is a nonionic detergent that was spilled and not coolant. The barrel was in the wrong area of the plant to begin with. I pulled the SDS for the product and found that the way we had cleaned was not the proper cleanup procedure. After a few hours of cleaning using vinegar, dawn, and water we were able to get the area cleaned properly.
