The staff was asked to share safety related information to include actions or behaviors that changed over the past 10 years and submitted the following items. The team annually reviews the Aramark Safety Handbook and re-pledges our commitment to safety. Annual purchases of shoes for crew completed during the summer months, monthly OSHA trainings with tracking and make up sessions for those on vacation or on a leave of absence, implementation of a trash handling glove to add to our hand safety program, double-barrel caddies to handle both excessive and recycling waste, microfiber pad use eliminating heavier wet mops, high efficiency equipment such as auto-scrubber and space vacuums, daily stretching during pre-shift meetings and of course the safety program to include briefs, observations, safety committee meetings, hazard inspections forms, corrective actions and return to work opportunities.
All these actions during the past years has allowed the account to reduce it’s incident frequency from a high of 100 to a low of 4 injuries. Thank you for the opportunity to share.
