I do daily walk thru same areas all the time. One day I noticed that employee was using meat slicer standing on step stool. I walk daily that way never noticed that. I questioned the employee why she is using step stool, she said due to her height it is hard to hold slicer and her arm hurts. I changed the table of the slicer to correct height so that employee don’t have to use step stool. Employee was very happy with the changes, she said has been using step stool for more than 3 years, not feeling safe but was doing thinking this was only option to perform the duty. By changing table not only made employee happy, but it also prevented injuries from happening.
For me the lesson I learned from this scenario that when you are walking the operation, make sure to pay attention do your diligent, hence importance of Marco app when it comes to Safety.
