On a busy delivery morning. Maintaining a small 23’X12′ dock; receiving 12 pallets, a lot can go wrong!
The am team here at Yavapai arrives at 4;30am to prepare the dock for the vendors safety as well as their own. The dock is swept, mopped, and marked for receiving product. The electric pallet jack is charged and placed in a safe location awaiting its trained user. Regardless of weather or timing, we work together to get the job done. Communication and safety are the key. Without either, all the pallets could not be received, product gets damaged, and increased safety concerns. The leaders here make sure PPE is available and being utilized regardless. Inmate labor is rotated throughout the day, so no one gets overwhelmed. We take pride in our receiving safety practices.
