During the winter months in the Northeast region we see many slips, trips, and falls due to the inclement weather. In the fall of 2019, Food Service Manager, Tara Charette, developed a “Shaker Bottle” to give to each employee in Pawtucket. This shaker bottle included a mixture of sand and salt so that employees could pour the mixture down to create traction under them on their way into work and melted the ice during their shift to create a better area to walk after their shift.
