Our group went through transitioning from mail delivery to digital mail sending. A change from physical delivery to being behind a desk, sorting, process and in the end scanning the document to be sent to recipients. A major effect, amongst many, is the repetitive motion with the use of a mouse – to process, QA and send via email. Before our staff develop any sort of pain or inconvenience from being seated down and working with a computer and a mouse, we proposed the use of an ergonomic mouse and / or mouse key pad. We got approval and happy to say that up to this point in time (fingers crossed) we haven’t had any negative feedback from our staff with regard any pain or convenience that might have cause by a more sedentary stance from work.
